“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Pray without ceasing. This may seem like a daunting task. Yet we are continuously called to prayer. To pray for each other. To pray for ourselves. To pray for the world in which we live. To pray alone. To pray in silence. To pray in song. To pray together.
In these times of social distancing, praying together can feel like another thing that we have lost. So during this time of Lent, let us gather together in prayer, even if we do so in a virtual way.
This season of prayer is intended to offer an opportunity to pray in an intentional way as and with the congregation of Grace-St. Andrew’s United Church. To pray the same prayers together each day. To learn new forms of prayer and find ways to pray without ceasing in our own lives. Join us each day for a new prayer.
